Information Platform Lead

The Opportunity

The Information Platform Lead serves as the primary technical and functional subject matter expert for information management platforms governed and administered by Enterprise Information Management (EIM), with primary responsibility for Procore. The role is responsible for platform administration, configuration, governance, optimization, permissions, workflows, integrations, reporting, and continuous improvement to ensure information platforms effectively support business and operational requirements.

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Information Management, the IPL partners with Information Technology, the Document Control Manager, Program Information Managers, functional organizations, and business stakeholders to establish scalable platform practices, resolve complex issues, improve platform performance, and maintain appropriate information governance and controls.

What you will do?

Platform Administration & Configuration

  • Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for assigned information platforms, with primary responsibility for Procore.
  • Administer and configure company-level and project-level platform settings, tools, templates, workflows, directories, permissions, fields, forms, notifications, reporting, and other configurable components.
  • Establish and maintain standardized configurations, templates, administrative documentation, and change controls that support consistent and scalable platform use.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, configuration, workflow, access, and information management issues.

Platform Governance & Security

  • Establish and maintain platform governance standards, administrative controls, permission structures, and configuration requirements.
  • Administer role-based access and least-privilege principles across supported platforms.
  • Perform and support periodic access reviews, permission audits, configuration reviews, and governance assessments.
  • Partner with IT, EIM leadership, and business stakeholders on identity, access, security, governance, and corrective actions.

Business Process & Platform Optimization

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational processes, information requirements, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable platform configurations, workflows, and solutions.
  • Evaluate platform utilization and existing processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, duplication, rework, unnecessary cost, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, configure, test, implement, and evaluate platform enhancements and standardized solutions that improve business execution.

Information Governance & Integration

  • Ensure platform configurations support EIM requirements for information governance, metadata, classification, lifecycle management, traceability, records management, information quality, and turnover readiness.
  • Partner with the Document Control Manager, Program Information Managers, and functional stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities support established information management requirements.
  • Partner with IT and system owners to support integrations between information platforms and other enterprise technologies.
  • Evaluate information flows and integrations to support data integrity, appropriate system-of-record boundaries, and effective information exchange.

Platform Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Routinely evaluate platform configuration, utilization, adoption, permissions, workflows, information quality, and overall platform health.
  • Develop and maintain metrics, reports, dashboards, and other visibility tools to support platform governance and decision-making.
  • Identify trends, risks, underutilized capabilities, and opportunities to improve platform performance, user experience, operational efficiency, and business value.
  • Monitor platform releases, product roadmaps, new functionality, and industry best practices and recommend adoption or improvement opportunities where appropriate.

Technical Leadership & User Enablement

  • Serve as the advanced escalation point and technical authority for complex platform questions, configuration issues, permissions, workflows, integrations, and user challenges.
  • Develop and maintain platform standards, guidance, administrative procedures, work instructions, training materials, and technical documentation.
  • Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance to platform administrators, document control personnel, functional stakeholders, and end users.
  • Serve as a primary EIM technical contact with assigned platform providers, including Procore, and coordinate advanced support issues, technical escalations, and capability discussions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Information Platform Specialists and other platform administrators as the capability and organization expand.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, competency, and relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience supporting information platforms, construction technology, information management systems, document management systems, project delivery technologies, or related disciplines; equivalent technical expertise may be considered.
  • Advanced hands-on Procore administration experience within a complex organizational environment, including company-level and project-level configuration, permissions, templates, workflows, user management, reporting, and platform governance.
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex platform environments, identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and lead implementation.
  • Experience translating business processes and requirements into scalable platform configurations and workflows.
  • Experience supporting platform governance, access management, audits, information quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, challenge existing practices when necessary, and manage competing priorities across multiple business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Procore Administrator certification or comparable advanced Procore training and expertise.
  • Company Administrator or equivalent enterprise-level administration experience within Procore.
  • Background supporting large capital programs, EPC organizations, mission critical facilities, manufacturing, construction, or other complex project-delivery environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Procore implementation, optimization, permission architecture, project templates, configurable fieldsets, workflows, reporting, and platform standardization.
  • Familiarity with integrations between Procore and enterprise, engineering, document management, ERP, reporting, or collaboration systems.
  • Knowledge of information governance, document control, records management, metadata management, configuration management, and information lifecycle management principles.
  • Ability to train administrators and end users and develop platform standards, procedures, and administrative documentation.
  • Experience working directly with software providers, technical support organizations, implementation partners, and business leadership.
