Tech I - Warehouse

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be accountable for the team’s ability to meet production quality and delivery goals by placing high standards on effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, intelligent judgment, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and, most importantly, dedication to the quality of the product produced, while ensuring the department is working in a safe and cost-effective manner.

The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for shipping and receiving of incoming products to the warehouse. Distribution, organization, and safe handling of products. Individual will also participate in inventory and clerical work when needed. Employee will assist Warehouse Supervisor in tasks as needed.

What you will do?

  • Shipping and receiving- Candidate should be able to receive and unload freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies; stocks shelves and rotates inventory. Safely loading and unloading trucks and deliveries. Efficiently transporting products.
  • Inventory maintenance and clerical- Ideal candidates will participate in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard, cycle counts and additional warehouse projects, operates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information when needed, inspection of external packaging items, recording damaged goods through an internal quality inspection, labelling and sorting products, may coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention, other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 12kg, frequently lift and/or move up to 23kg.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, sit for up to extended periods of time.
